My one week in space

Monday 31st October 2023

What a surprise!

Today was a normal, boring afternoon as I sat on the couch watching my favourite show: The Thundercats.

It was about a group of cats fighting against the evil emperor cat who wants to take over the world.

As I sat down, thinking that nothing else could be better than to sit home and do nothing. I then heard the doorbell ring and raced to the door only to find an envelope on the floor.

Mum and Dad came down the stairs and stood beside me. As soon as they saw the envelope's slogan. They then stared in shock at one another.

Dad then took the envelope from the floor and then read what was written inside. I then listened with shock and curiosity.

It was the ISS (International Space Station) and they were inviting me to join them on their mission in space. How cool was that!?

The Arrival

As I got down from the car and entered the space station. I thought I was going to be greeted with smiles and handshakes, only to find everyone looking tired and busy.

I then got a bit nervous but thinking about going into the rocket made me excited and determined to get into that rocket no matter what.

I then met the captain and he gave me a tour around. It then got a bit boring as the captain showed me around the storage room and the recycled junk but then something hitted my eye.

He then showed me to the communication room and then ti the rocket, It was massive!. He then showed me to the cabin were the astronauts sleep. The suits that the astronaut wear, which were built to protect astronauts and give them oxygen.

3,2,1 blast off!

As the astronauts and I geared up and said goodbye. We then blasted off to space. I then saw earth shrink and then turn into a dot before disappearing.

I was then instructed that my flight will only last for a week and that I will get the chance to do a spacewalk and then we will arrive at the ISS space station.

Gym day

Today, as I was doing my exercise (that I liked to do and requested that they add a gym to the space station when we arrive) I then noticed that one of my crew members were missing so I asked the captain were my crew member was.

He then groaned and said that he remembered one of his crew members were sick but he forgot to tell me about it.(Great now a captain who forgets things what else? There is a dog coming with us?)

I then continued my exercise and then headed into my room and then slept.

Tuesday 1st October 2023

As I then woke up as we arrived at the ISS, I then saw an astronaut having a spacewalk. I then realised that I didn't do my spacewalk but I thought I would do it on the ISS.

I was then introduced to the astronauts and given another tour around the station. I then entered my room and unpacked my things.

I then realised that I hadn't had a bath since I had arrived and went to the shower block and then tried to have a shower. Only to realise that it is impossible to have a shower as the was no gravity and decided to go back to my dorm and slept.

The mystery of the rubbish

Today was a strange day as I woke up, I failed to notice the mess in my room as I got up and as I brushed my teeth, I noticed some rubbish on the bathroom floor. I then picked it up and putted it in the dustbin.

The same thing happened the next day and so on. I was then starting to get a bit suspicious and then decided to slove the mystery: The mystery of the rubbish.

I then rounded up a few of my crew members and the interrogated them. One of them told me that the same thing happened to her room, so I went with her. As soon as I entered the bathroom, she locked the door, I then found out who the culprit was: It was her!. I then banged on the door and soon gave up.

Thursday 3rd October 2023

As I woke up in the culprit room. I then continued my mission. I banged, I kicked, I screamed ( That wouldn't have helped anyways ). Luckily, someone heard and rescued me.

Conclusion

The week was fun. We arrested the culprit and then I got to do my space walk. We then returned back to Earth and then I went back to my parents ( You should have felt their bone-cracking hug).

                         The end
